Tinplate originated in Bohemia (Present-day Czech Republic and Slovakia). For a long time, it has been the world's main producer of tinplate. At that time, Makou iron was mainly used to make tableware and drinking utensils. After the First World War, the armies of various countries made a large number of iron containers (cans) and extended to the present.
At that time, some people believed that the tin plate used in the manufacture of cans was imported from Macao, Guangdong Province (English name Macao can be read as Ma Kou), so it was called "Tinplate". There are also other sayings, such as China used this Tin-plated sheet to make the lamp head of the kerosene lamp, shaped like a horse's mouth, so it is called "Tinplate". What is Tinplate?
